Yemen
Since 2014, Yemen has been affected by a protracted conflict that has devastated the country's institutions, economy, and social fabric. Despite periods of reduced hostilities, millions of people continue to face humanitarian needs, displacement, and limited access to basic services. Ongoing regional tensions and the involvement of multiple international actors continue to influence the conflict, underscoring the importance of supporting dialogue, civilian protection, and locally led peacebuilding efforts.
In Yemen, Fight for Humanity contributes to the Beyond Compliance Consortium research programme, led by the University of York, through a case study examining civilian experiences of conflict and the behaviour of armed actors. The research aims to inform policies and practices that strengthen civilian protection and reduce conflict-induced harm.
